Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun, and is where Ms. Frizzle's class fly past by in The Magic School Bus episode, Gets Lost in Space.
Uranus is also one of the solar system's planets that game players could choose to fly to and land on its moon, Miranda, in the PC game, The Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System.
Plot[]
After passing Saturn, the class approaches Uranus. Wanda Li is in charge of the bus. Janet tells the class they could tell it's Uranus by its tilted faint gray rings and it's blue and green gases. Meanwhile, Janet is not only bound by a seatbelt. She is also bound by Arnold who sits on her lap. (Janet --embarrassedly-- is hugging Arnold on her lap, because he is trying to control her as Wanda told him.) Arnold, he snuggles on his cousin Janet's lap at Wanda's insistence to control her. (That is, and to prevent any dangerous actions on their rescue mission of finding Ms. Frizzle.) Because Wanda has told him it is his duty to "keep her under control", she has told him sit on Janet's lap. Janet tries to convince Arnold to get off her. That is, as he has used the back seat's seat belts to strap himself to Janet to keep her from collecting more items as "proof". (That is, to listen to Wanda of over controlling Janet.) Janet (with an embarrassed smile) tells Arnold, "See cuz? Uranus doesn't really do a thing for me. So you can get off me. Okay?". Arnold disagrees with that. And he says to Janet he has to "sit on top of the situation". (That is, as he says, "Sorry Janet! But I must stay on top of the situation!".) As they fly through Uranus, they see blue green clouds. The class knew Ms. Frizzle couldn't see the stars through Uranus' clouds either, so she isn't on Uranus. As they fly to the next planet, Janet complains saying she needs "proof" as she tries to push Arnold off of her (although he is trying to listen to Wanda's order to keep her --Janet-- under control). Arnold then tells Janet that they need Ms. Frizzle. (He --Arnold-- responds to Janet, "OH YEAH!? WELL, WE WANT MS. FRIZZLE!".) Then he turns to Wanda and tells her to step on it. And they fly off to the next planet, Neptune. Wanda agrees, gives Arnold the thumb, and goes. (However, Wanda seems proud of Arnold controlling his cousin Janet. That is, as she --Wanda-- sees him on his cousin Janet's lap.)
The Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System[]
Uranus could be one of the planets of the solar system that the players could click on to fly to and land on its moon, Miranda. On Miranda, the player controls Carlos on that planet's moon while searching for the Ms. Frizzle token, which will give the player a clue of which planet or moon she's on. Carlos also does his report on Uranus.
