A live-action feature film adaptation of TheMagic School Bus is currently in development.[1] The movie is being produced by Universal Pictures, Scholastic Entertainment, and Brownstone Productions; and will star Elizabeth Banks as an unknown Ms. Frizzle. It has yet to be released.
This film will be the first Magic School Bus project in a resolution higher than 1080p/i (as most modern films are natively shot in 4–8K)
This is the second time The Magic School Bus franchise switches to a higher display resolution, the first being “Frizzle of the Future” when the brand switched from 480i to 1080p.
This marks the second time that the franchise has been officially adapted for live action.
It is unknown whether the movie will be set in the continuity of Cole and Degen, The Magic School Bus (1994) and The Magic School Bus Rides Again, or The Magic School Bus: Mighty Explorers.
