A live-action feature film adaptation of The Magic School Bus is in the works. The movie is being produced by Universal Pictures, Scholastic Entertainment, and Brownstone Productions. It has yet to be released.

• This marks the second time that the franchise has been officially adapted for live action.
  • The first time this happened was in A Magic School Bus Halloween.
• Since this is a film adaptation, it may or may not follow the continuities of the books by Cole and Degen or The Magic School Bus and The Magic School Bus Rides Again.
• Iole Lucchese of Scholastic Entertainment also produced Season 3 of The Magic School Bus Rides Again.
• The Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray releases of the film will possibly be the franchise's debut on these physical media formats.
• This and the third series will be the first MSB media since Scholastic purchased 9 Story in 2024.
