The DVD version is only available in Canada, whereas in the rest of the world, this set is used for ''Rides Again'' on iTunes, Google Play, and Microsoft Movies and TV. It is the first home media release in Region 1 for ''The Magic School Bus Rides Again''.

It was preceded by ''[[The Magic School Bus: Greatest Classic Episodes|The Magic School Bus: Greatest Adventures]]'' (2000/2017) and followed by ''[[The Magic School Bus Rides Again: Blast Off!]]'' (2020).

The [[The Magic School Bus Rides Again: The Complete Third Season|third/seventh season]] set was released in 2021. That disc includes [[Goldstealer]], which was not released to digital platforms.

* The DVD version of this set brings the French dub back to Region 1 releases, the last time it was available being the 2005 releases of ''The Magic School Bus: Human Body'' and ''The Magic School Bus: Catches a Wave''. It is available in the Canadian Season 7 set as well, infamously known for being the only official way to watch “Goldstealer.”
* This is the first ''Rides Again'' DVD in Region 1.
* This is the final Region 1 ''Magic School Bus'' DVD to release in the 2010s, and the only ''Rides Again'' DVD to release in its decade of origin. This is the first time a ''MSB'' show’s VHS or DVD released in its decade of origin since the standalone releases for “Spins a Web,” “Butterfly and the Bog Beast,” and “In a Beehive” in 1999.
