The Magic School Bus: Oceans is the 2012 remake of 1995's The Magic School Bus Explores the Ocean. It was released in 2012 as part of the 25th anniversary of The Magic School Bus at the Waterworks.
Plot[]
"Ms. Frizzle and her class need help to prepare an ocean exhibit for their open house. There are action-packed games to play and there are hundreds of facts to learn, and there's also fun trivia challenges about ocean life to explore. You also get to learn about the food chain, sort and classify animals, and go on an undersea scavenger hunt. There are six areas of the ocean to explore, the Intertidal Zone, the Coral Reef, the Continental Shelf, the Open Ocean, the Ocean Floor and the Deep Sea Vent."
Changes from Explores the Ocean (1996)[]
- Unlike Explores the Ocean, this game does feature the classroom.
- Instead of focusing on finding treasure, the plot is instead centered around an open house.
- Phoebe's name is spelled correctly. In the original game, it was misspelled as Pheobe.
- In the original game, the Bus is rendered in CGI. The Bus is a 2D sprite in this game to match other characters.
- The Bus now uses its infamous "stretch and shift" transformation sequence, first seen in For Lunch.
- The driver's seat menu is less detailed and has less buttons.

- The Driver's License feature returns.
- Many of the minigames return, such as the Food Chain Game.
- The player can visit the Ocean Zones.

- The remakes of Dinosaurs and Oceans mark the final roles of the original series' voice actors before their 2017 replacements in Rides Again.
