1 Gets Lost in Space The Solar System September 10, 1994
Arnold's know-it-all cousin, Janet, drives the whole class crazy when she joins them on a field trip and gets them lost in space! But when the bus' navigational system breaks down and Ms. Frizzle and Liz get lost in the solar system, Janet may be the only one with enough knowledge to save everyone. Note: This episode features the Block of Ice Scene, one which references something that can't be mentioned on a children's education wiki.
2 For Lunch Digestion September 18, 1994
Arnold's dream has come true: he doesn't have to go on a field trip! Ms. Frizzle lets him stay behind with Liz. But when he accidentally swallows the bus, he becomes the field trip! Better than an action park, his digestive system is full of twists, turns, and surprises.
3 Inside Ralphie Germs September 25, 1994
Ralphie is crushed when a fever and a sore throat keep him home from school on the day that he's scheduled to host a Frizzle News Network television broadcast on health. Not one to let his body get the best of him, he hosts it from his bedroom while his classmates journey through his bloodstream to reveal the breaking news story of just what's making him sick.
4 Gets Eaten The Food Chain October 2, 1994
Arnold and Keesha are in trouble when they forget an assignment to bring in two beach-related things that go together. He has a soggy shoe with pond scum he stepped in on his way to school and she has only the tuna fish sandwich she brought for lunch. Ms. Frizzle is delighted at this brilliant combination! A field trip to the ocean becomes a search for the connection between these two unlikely objects. The bus shrinks and travels through the ocean food chain—getting eaten along the way!
5 Hops Home Habitats October 9, 1994
Wanda goes over the top when she turns the entire classroom into a comfortable new home for her beloved pet frog, Bella. It's everything one could want...or so she thinks. However, when Bella jumps out of an open window, she needs to rethink her idea of what one needs.
6 Meets the Rot Squad Decomposition October 16, 1994
It's accidental science project day, and the class has brought marvelously rotten entries from the back of their refrigerators. Later, when Ms. Frizzle shrinks the bus down to "take a closer look" at rotting options in an abandoned lot, the class discovers that there's more to rot than first meets the nose.
7 All Dried Up Desert Adaptations October 23, 1994
Always the caring soul, Phoebe goes on a crusade to save the animals and plants of the desert. After experiencing the unique ways in which they conserve water, find food, and deflect the heat, she realizes they don't need help after all.
8 In the Haunted House Sound October 30, 1994
The class is thrilled about their upcoming concert at the Sound Museum...until they discover that it is more of a thrill than they bargained for. As they creep through its creaky passageways, they experience sound firsthand!
9 Gets Ready, Set, Dough Kitchen Chemistry November 6, 1994
It's Ms. Frizzle's birthday, and a field trip to the bakery seems perfect...until the bus' Shrinkerscope quits on them. The class experiences chemistry first hand, as they get baked in Ms. Frizzle's birthday cake!
10 Plays Ball Forces and Motion November 13, 1994
Dorothy Ann loves physics. Ralphie loves baseball. Ms. Frizzle ingeniously combines the two in a page-hopping adventure through Dorothy Ann's book to a frictionless baseball game. The class learns about pushes and pulls in a remarkable day at a thoroughly unique ballgame.
11 Goes to Seed Seeds November 20, 1994
The class' garden is going to be featured on the cover of Plant It Magazine. But Phoebe's garden plot is glaringly empty. Always eager to help, Ms. Frizzle shrinks the bus to the size of a ladybug, and the class is off and flying to Phoebe's old school to find a plant.
12 Gets Ants in Its Pants Ants November 27, 1994
The class goes into show business when Keesha directs a movie about social animals for the school science fair. They visit the inside of an anthill to observe their characters at close range. They discover that each ant performs a vital job for the survival of their colony.
13 Kicks Up a Storm Weather December 4, 1994
It's a hot and muggy summer day, and the heat has gone to Ralphie's head. Ms. Frizzle asks what makes the weather, then transforms the bus into a Weathermobile, and a wild ride through the skies gives Ralphie the opportunity to become Weatherman, the meteorological superhero of his dreams.
