Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun, and is where Ms. Frizzle's class fly past by in The Magic School Bus episode, Gets Lost in Space.

Saturn is also one of the solar system's planets that game players could choose to fly to and land on its moon, Mimas, in the PC game, The Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System.

Plot[]

After passing Jupiter, Ms. Frizzle's class approach Saturn. Janet tells the class it's Saturn since there's no other gas giant with such beautiful rings. Keesha mentions it must be cold on Saturn since it's very far away from the sun, but Tim reminds the others that Ms. Frizzle said "cold and dark". Janet says it could be very, very dark on Saturn, but Carlos in a disgusted tone tells her they ain't stopping from what she said, since he knows she just wants to collect more stuff. Dismayed, Janet tells Carlos she's just trying to help and walks to the back seat. Arnold suggests that Janet could be right and Ms. Frizzle could be on Saturn. Wanda then takes the wheel and tells Arnold it's his job to keep his crazy cousin under control (in order to prevent any dangerous actions on their rescue mission for finding Ms. Frizzle). Ms. Frizzle then contacts the class and tells them she and Liz couldn't wait to show them all the stars they could see from the outer planet they're on. Upon hearing the hint Ms. Frizzle gave them, Wanda realizes Ms. Frizzle is definitely not on Saturn, since she couldn't see the stars at all through all of Saturn's storms and clouds. So they then leave Saturn and fly to the next planet, Uranus.

The Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System[]

Saturn could be one of the planets of the solar system that the players could click on to fly to and land on its moon, Mimas. On Mimas, the player controls Tim on the rocks Saturn's rings are made of while searching for the Ms. Frizzle token, which will give the player a clue of which planet or moon she's on. Tim also does his report on Saturn.
