Ratney is Carlos' pet rat and a minor character in the dilogy. She appeared in "Carlos Gets the Sneezes" as a deuteragonist, and "I Spy with My Animal Eyes" as a tritagonist. Mr. Ruhle happens to be allergic to her. She can be a bit mischievous, such as when she wandered into the flower field which got pollen on her fur that caused Carlos to sneeze due to his allergies to pollen, and when she opened her cage door while Arnold was preparing a meal for her.
