Nelvana Enterprises, Inc.[1] (formerly known as "Nelvana Limited" or sometimes called "Nelvana Animation") is a Canadian animation/entertainment company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Owned by Corus Entertainment since 2000, it was founded by the future Cookie Jar (now WildBrain) producer Michael Hirsh along with Clive A. Smith and Patrick Loubert in July 30, 1971. It was the original production studio of the adaptation of the book series The Magic School Bus (1994-1997) until Rides Again (which was instead produced by 9Story in the same country from 2017 until 2018 and the European-based Brown Bag Animation since 2020). Since 2001, its library comprised more than 1,650 cumulative half-hours of original television programming. On September 2, 2025, Corus announced that future production at Nelvana would be temporarily halted and that any current projects would be winding down. This comes after Corus announced plans to focus on maintaining better performing properties. However, Corus would continue to operate the licensing, distribution and library unit.[2]

The company had three international offices such as France, Ireland, and Japan.
