Naniben (Gujarati: નાની બહેન Nānī bahen, "little sister") is an anthropomorphic android invented by Jyoti. She is one of the protagonists in the episode "Three in One".
Physical Appearance and Characteristics[]
Naniben is sentient and anthropomorphic, much like Liz and the Bus. She has a wide, cylindrical head with two eyes much like the Bus's headlights. On the top of her head lies two lightbulbs and her heat ray. She has an oscilloscope for a mouth and two microphones for ears on the sides of her head. Her body is cylindrical with rounded edges. A keypad and a screen are located at the middle of her abdomen. She has short, thin arms with pincers for hands, and one wheel for a leg and foot.
History[]
Just like with the Bus, she was invented and won a Gizmos-that-Go competition. While the kids were on their field trip inside the molecules of an ice cube, Jyoti ordered Naniben to heat the ice into water so they can explore the states of matter.
Trivia[]
- Naniben's sound effects are reminiscent of R2-D2's beeps from the Star Wars franchise.
- The screen on her abdomen could be a reference to Bot's Belly-Belly-Belly Screen from Team Umizoomi, another fictional android, or the Teletubbies' abdominal televisions.
- The size of her eyes and mouth and how they are positioned on her face look similar to Morgana from the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona franchise.
