Ms. Frizzle's Adventures: Ancient Egypt is the first book in the Ms. Frizzle's Adventures series, the series in which Professor Frizzle journeys back in time with a select few students of hers. It was released in 2001, and it is followed by its 2003 sequel, Medieval Castle.
Plot[]
At the first day of summer holiday, Ms. Frizzle said goodbye to the class and planned a new trip to Egypt. She entered a tour group. When aboard airplane, she picked the tourist guide's roll book and let her tourist partners raise their hands when she said their names. At night, everyone except Ms. Frizzle and the tour guide fell asleep. The next day morning, everyone can't wait for the plane to land, so Ms. Frizzle opened the emergency exit and gave everyone a parachute. The tour guide landed in Cairo, however Ms. Frizzle and other tourists were blown by a wind. Ms. Frizzle then act as a tourist guide in substitute for that one who landed in Cairo.
Ms. Frizzle then adjusts her watch and the entire group is transported back into the time of the Pharaohs. Join Ms. Frizzle and the tour group as they get to see the daily life of Ancient Egypt. Take a river ride down the Nile, drag heavy stone blocks to build the pyramids, or see how a mummy is made.
Trivia[]
- This is the only book in the Ms. Frizzle's Adventures series which Ms. Frizzle didn't bring any of her students. Arnold and Wanda are briefly seen in the beginning of the book waving good-bye to Ms. Frizzle as the summer vacation begins.
