Mrs. Frizzle is a minor character who has only appeared in book 10, The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses. She is the mother of the Frizzle sisters. She also owns a cat named Fred, inside whose ear the class traveled in the aforementioned book. Like her daughters, Valerie and Fiona, her surname comes from her "frizzled" pink hair.
