Lenny the Lifeguard is a supporting character in The Magic School Bus on the Ocean Floor. He is blond and muscular, and brags to beachgoers about his "rescues" of people whom he simply tackles or throws his life buoy at. He ends up tagging along with the class when he thinks the bus is in danger. He thinks similar to the producer of the original TV series, thinking that buses are not transforming mechanisms. He reappears in the twelfth book, And the Climate Challenge, in a cameo when the bus's plane wings break off, causing it to crash-land into his pool.
