The Magic School Bus: Greatest Adventures, or The Magic School Bus: Greatest Classic Episodes on the DVD release, is a a greatest-episodes sampler that highlights some of the voted best field trips ever taken, according to a poll from the official MSB site in 2000. It was released to VHS in 2000 by Warner Home Video and to DVD in 2017 by NewVideo Group, including several more episodes but dropping “In a Pickle.”

- "In a Pickle" was omitted from the DVD release.
- This is the only Cinedigm Magic School Bus DVD where all the episodes are on the same Video TS titleset.
- The DVD includes all three non-bonus episodes of The Magic School Bus: Human Body.
- The VHS version was the first home video release of The Magic School Bus to have more than one episode, and the DVD version was the last of these before transitioning to Rides Again.
- On the DVD version, ”For Lunch” and its direct continuation “The Busasaurus” appear together for the first time on a single disc.
- This DVD’s menu is the final occurrence of the original version of the intro’s infamous guitar cover.
