- In the original releases of the TV tie-in books, the funding credits were shown on the book, reading: "Major funding for The Magic School Bus television project was provided by Microsoft Home, the makers of a broad line of quality software for your home computer. Additional funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York." or "Major funding for The Magic School Bus television project was provided by Microsoft, the makers of a broad line of quality software for your home computer. Additional funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York."
- In Season 2, Going Batty and In a Pickle were the only episodes which used the Season 1 funding credits. (That was, containing the National Science Foundation, Microsoft Home, the United States Department of Energy, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York).
- Gets Ready, Set, Dough, Getting Energized, The Busasaurus, Flexes Its Muscles, and Taking Flight were the only episodes on VHS which did not have the funding credits at the end.
- On PBS, since reruns continued to air on the channel until September 25, 1998, the Season 4 funding credits were used for all 52 episodes. (That was, containing the National Science Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and Viewers Like You). Additionally, it was the only time that Viewers Like You was credited for all of the episodes in Season 1, as well as the Season 2 episodes Going Batty and In a Pickle. (That was, when airing in reruns).
- On Fox Kids, the edited version of the first part of the funding credits was used, saying: "Major funding provided by the National Science Foundation."
