Dr. Carmina A. Skeledon, voiced by Rita Moreno, is a Walkervillian paleontologist and a close friend of Valerie Frizzle's. She hosted the class on the field trip to her dig site in The Busasaurus, during the first part of the trip in the present day, 2016/2017 AD[1]. Skeledon and Ms. Frizzle briefly reminisced about a time they "went to Scotland in search of the Loch Ness Monster." On the trip, she showed the class a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton they had discovered. Professor Frizzle also gave her a fossilized dinosaur egg, "to add to her collection", which she later gives to Arnold before the second half of the trip - back in time to the late Cretaceous.
During the episode's producer segment, she takes the questions of the callers while digging, and concludes that not even Ms. Frizzle could really go back in time. But still, it would look like a great field trip if it were possible.

- Her surname is a mixture of "skeleton" and the Greek word for "tooth," ὀδών (odṓn), a suffix in dinosaur names that emphasizes the qualities of a dinosaur's teeth.
