The mouth is the first part of Arnold's digestive system. It was explored by the class in "For Lunch" in Season 1 and rediscovered briefly in "Goes Cellular" in Season 4.
History[]
After shrinking down, Ms. Frizzle targets Arnold and flings the bus into his hand. The class is promptly thrown into his mouth with some Cheezie Weezies. The bus begins driving across his tongue as he chews his food. Initially, the class was confused about where they were, noticing the "pink pavement" and "dripping walls". After seeing teeth, the class realizes that they're in somebody's mouth. Ms. Frizzle coyly reveals that they're inside Arnold's mouth, much to the shock of the class.
Meanwhile, Arnold wonders where the class went for their field trip, completely unaware that they're inside him. Arnold eats an olive that bumps into the bus, sending it hurdling towards the back of his mouth. The class realizes what's next as Arnold accidentally swallows them into his esophagus.
On the way out, the class exits Arnold's body after being burped from his mouth.
Goes Cellular[]
To undercover the mystery of what exactly is making Arnold's skin orange, the Bus lands on a Seaweedie and rides it straight through the mouth to be swallowed into the rest of the digestive system - because the class thinks that something inside his body is doing so.
