They mentioned this in their statement on Bruce Degen's death. It doesn't mention much besides the fact that the live action film is planned (at least they finally gave us an update on the film after 4 years). Note that this film has been in production since 2020, so maybe finally next year we'll finally get actual news of the film? Wonder how'll they'll pay tribute to Bruce Degen in the movie.
Just Updated
I was watching a Valskibum (one of my favorite YouTubers these days) video about Mighty Explorers and decided to look in the comments. One commenter mentioned Bruce Degen’s death, so I decided to look it up out of curiosity. And I was shocked.
And coincidentally, he died when a new MSB project was announced, just like with Cole during Season 7. I bet Mighty Explorers (or at least all of its first season) will be dedicated to him now just like Season 7 (minus Goldstealer) was with Cole. I bet the movie might be dedicated to both.
Guess Season 1 of Mighty Explorers is the “Degen Season” like how Season 3 of Rides Again (or Season 7 of the main series) includes the “Cole Specials.”
RIP Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen, and RIP officially to the Magic School Bus book series. Their legacy lives on in the books that started the worldwide phenomenon.

On this day in 2021, RA ended with the infamous Canadian DVD release of Goldstealer, marking the end of a 27-year era of field trips with the nine students fans of The Magic School Bus have been well accustomed to since 1994.
With Mighty Explorers having been announced in October and the movie being in development heck, I am nervous as to what both of these new projects will be like.

So far this year, the original 4 seasons have been added to a lot more streaming services, such as the Roku Channel (just now!), Tubi (back in April), and even its own YouTube channel this month. I think this all means we're getting 90s series hype to promote ME and the movie. I really hope the movie redeems the franchise because I am not excited for ME.
I think Scholastic could've done better with Albie's design to make it look less Cocomelon-like. Giving it a grille would've been nice. I also feel like ME is going to attract more and more 90s+RA fans if this show flops like RA, and more people are probably going to want to watch the shows from the original 90s canon (even though RA sucked back during its reveal). By the looks of it this show makes Rides Again and the 90s series look better. It seems belittled by both 90s-canon shows. But I don't know. "Groundbreaking" or not I'm still going to watch it and see for myself when it comes out. I just know Albie and the new class will take some getting used to.
THEY JUST RELEASED NEW DETAILS FOR THE NEW CGI MSB SERIES!
The Magic School Bus: Mighty Explorers
Genre: CG Animation
Audience: 2-5
Based on the iconic Scholastic book series, The Magic School Bus: Mighty Explorers is a ground-breaking CGI reboot for preschool viewers! Join Albie, our all-new, talking, transforming, Magic Bus, plus Liz, Ms. Frizzle’s favorite lizard sidekick, and six-year-old kid explorers – Lily, Wyatt, and Benny – as they team up and zoom out on some of the funniest, wildest action-adventure explorations yet! Together, our Mighty Explorers are going to answer questions like “How does sound work?” “Why is the sun so hot?” “How do fish breathe underwater?” and many, many more. Curiosity is their roadmap so there’s no telling where their adventures will take them – and us – next!
According to a official LinkedIn post, this is a reboot but its still unclear if it's a new story rather than a continuation of Rides Again and the 90s series. This series might take place in a different timeline/AU/community then RA and the 90s series and that said community is still cannon.
Is there a Magic School Bus Rides Again episode that is similar to "Going Batty"?
In the Gets Planted episode, Dorothy Ann plays a princess in the Jack and the Beanstalk play. I was wondering who the princess is, what her role is and what adaption of Jack and the Beanstalk is she in? I've been trying to look for info. If anyone knows and has information, please respond. Thank you.

It has been 7 years since Rides Again premiered on Netflix on September 29, 2017!
I just noticed an hour ago that on the profile page when you first open Netflix on TV, they had a promo featuring a new feature called Kids Playlists that are related to a certain topic and on one of the playlist which were related to science, I saw a promo image of The Bus and the class on there along with other characters that aren't related to the brand ( one of the characters are from Ada Twist, Scientist, which is also produced by Brown Bag Films). Also I don't think I saw that promo image before. It featured The Bus looking towards the camera with the class inside. I'm not sure what this new feature is about but it said that this new feature would come out next week. It'll most likely just be a list of shows with certain topics and TMSBRA is in there with the current 2 seasons (and maybe the specials if their featured), but with Scholastic acquiring 9 Story back in June who knows if their planning something behind their sleeves.

Hello All!
Last week, in honor of the show's 30th anniversary, my collaborator and I published a piece on Medium.com that explored the broad Magic School Bus enterprise (books, TV series, etc.). Our research is part of a National Science Foundation-funded project that combines archival and oral history research (I just interviewed Jocelyn Stevenson, the head writer for the show). You can check out our essay at https://medium.com/@matt.wisnioski/not-a-normal-field-trip-92b9a8c251ae. We plan on publishing more pieces in the future, so make sure you follow Matt's account if you would like to learn more about what we are doing. We also plan on publishing a book in the future.
Take Care,
Michael
Hey, everyone! :)
I just listened to Dancing Queen by ABBA on Boom 99.7 today at 10:26am, and as you know, I still have a link to my music video. Apparently, I recorded it from Boom 99.7 on July 18th at 2:33pm. So, I used Butterfly and the Bog Beast, Works Out, In the Haunted House, Meets Molly Cule and Plays Ball.
And yet, here we are!

What do you guys think? It'll be a perfect way to prepare for the 16:9/4:3 remastered versions of the entire series on Internet Archive. All the episodes, all four seasons! :)
Riding across our TVs and devices (and school promethean boards) since September 10, 1994! Since then we’ve gone from Arnold freezing his head off in space to a James Bond-esque spy mission to retrieve a stolen gold medal! 7 seasons and 82 episodes—long live the legacy!
